Description

Overview:

The word choux in French means cabbage, and choux pastry gets its name from the fact that the little balls of choux paste used to make cream puffs resemble little cabbages. The history of choux pastry dough dates from its creation in 1540 in France. Catherine de Medici’s head chef Panterelli invented it and called it pâte à Panterelli. Over the years, it did undergo some changes from pâte à Pompellin to what we know at pâte a choux.

Our first time making macaroons, and I’m glad we took this workshop. The instructor was great! Tip: weigh your ingredients out ahead of time so you can get right to work!
