My passion for french cooking began watching Julia Child on television. An important lesson I learned from watching her shows is that not only are the ingredients in the recipe important but the techniques used to put them together. I decided that the best place to learn would be to go to France and have been going back for several years attending culinary classes and immersing myself in the culture. Whether living in an apartment in Paris or a farm house in South of France I spend time cooking, enjoying local restaurants, shopping at markets, visiting wineries, olive orchards, cheese makers, goat farms, chocolatiers, and bakers. I’ve adapted the recipes and techniques learned to my American kitchen. I bake not only french breads, pastries, and desserts, but savory dishes and meals as well - and now I enjoy teaching others. I’ve taught classes in Boston, Cambridge, and Brookline but I found that offering virtual classes affords students the ability to practice in their own kitchen using their own tools and ingredients. Classes offered include individual recipes or unique menus for that special event. Join me for a rewarding experience!
